Submissions
Shifter Magazine is welcoming submissions for its upcoming issues. Submissions can be written or visual, including essays, short fiction, nonfiction, prose, poetry, photography and any 2D art.
We’re looking for anyone who has a compelling story to share with a fresh voice. Shifter Magazine is committed to embracing diversity, inclusion, and equality. We will NOT tolerate or publish work that promotes racism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, or any form of prejudice against any group of people.

Written Submissions
We look for work that plays off the theme of each issue, especially in unexpected ways. We will be accepting submissions for issues UNTIL the first of the month.
You may submit up to 2 poems, 1 story, 5 flash fiction pieces, and/or 1 essay. All work should be previously unpublished. The maximum word count for submissions is 2,500 words. No minimum.
Please allow up to two weeks for Shifter to review and reply to your submission.
Visual Submissions
You may submit up to five (5) visual art pieces. This includes graphic/vector illustrations, photography, digital painting; and/or anything considered as computer art. We would prefer for all work to be previously unpublished.
