When looking back on the previous year, we’re reminded of endless nights questioning if we’re ever going to experience the joy of trying on new clothes and buying accessories from stores. While we stay inside and question why we didn’t take the chance to wear that one extravagant outfit, celebrities continue to explore their creative styles and exceed our expectations.

Incorporating masks and having virtual runway shows at home has forced all those interested in fashion to push boundaries and create innovative ways to stay safe while still showcasing looks. 2020 has finally come to an end and we at Shifter Mag are excited to present our take on the best-dressed celebrities during this whirlwind of a year.

1. Zendaya

As one of the most influential actors in Hollywood, Zendaya wore one of her most iconic looks of 2020 with a hot pink Tom Ford breastplate for the 25th Critics' Choice Awards.

2. Lizzo

During 2020, Lizzo expressed herself in ways that we’ve never seen before. Her presence at the 2020 Grammy Awards in a white Versace gown lined with Swarovski crystals still has us awestruck.

3. Cate Blanchett

At the beginning of 2020, Cate Blanchett showcased a beautiful yellow Mary Katrantzou gown with a jeweled chest piece at the 2020 Golden Globes.

4. Beyoncé

I think we were all stunned by the beautiful pictures of Beyoncé's Schiaparelli couture gown at the 2020 Golden Globes. The slender black bottom and golden voluptuous sleeves help exhibit her strength and confidence.

5. V (Kim Taehyung) of BTS

Known for his streetwear and as a member of BTS, Kim Taehyung continues to gift his fans plenty of photographs wearing gorgeous suits and visuals through BTS’s Twitter account.

6. Tracee Ellis Ross

Tracee Ellis Ross is always photoshoot ready and quarantine isn’t going to stop her from creating fashionable outfits. And who could forget her appearance at the Emmys in a golden tiered gown?

7. Harry Styles

Harry Styles has always been innovative and he isn’t afraid to play with clothing. We can clearly see that from his 2020 performance at the Brit Awards in a gorgeous lace Gucci jumpsuit.

8. Naomi Watanabe

Naomi Watanabe is a comedian, actress and fashion designer who at the beginning of 2020 became the new face for Kate Spade New York. Her style is unique, inventive, and spreads body positivity across the world.

9. Tyler the Creator

Known for his artistic and creative way of expressing himself, Tyler the Creator’s outfits reflect his desire to spread joy and entertainment across those who listen to his music. At the 2020 Grammy Awards, he performed dressed in a pink suit paired with a blonde wig.

10. Zoë Kravitz

This isn’t the first or last time we’re talking about her fashion. At the 2020 Golden Globes, Zoë Kravitz came dressed in a Saint Laurent polka-dotted slender off-the-shoulder dress that supported her sleek and professional look.

Hopefully, like those above, we can expect more and more fashion styles that give us a sense of wonder and freedom. Although it was quite a long year, we’re looking forward to seeing all the visionary trends that arise from 2020’s ashes.
